Those words...spark something inside of Moriarty. It lets that love of his - the love tied to the Authority, that passion - take over for a moment, his blue eyes dulling a little.]
...It is....true. If they knew, then they could never be threatened again. Bringing an end to Humanity's childhood, and removing their ignorance...
[He's...agreeing, just for a little bit. Allowing that burning to lull away his senses, because it would be easier than what is to come.]
It's what they always wanted, to know - to understand.
To become the stars they grasp for in the night-time, to become the gods and cosmos they always sought to understand. Wouldn't it be wonderful?
[Even with the dullness, and coldness of the words there is still a sense of almost a parental pride in the otherwise empty void where the love of humanity once dwell]
...It would. It would be a beautiful thing - Humanity becoming the stars, destroying those fragile physical forms.
[It's so...easy. To just go along with what the other half of the beast is saying, to just - become what they should be, what he's known will be his end all along.
James Moriarty doesn't really exist. What he is, is the Authority, the shed off half of Sherlock Holmes. The bearer of the Evil of Humanity, the final and Greatest Beast.
His eyes half lid, as he looks like a man trapped in a dream - with a wide smile on his face.]
....It would be...Everything they would ever have wanted.
[For a moment, the Beast jerks, the placid serenity replaced by anguish torment before again serenity sets in. As they were speaking, the Inverness coat and clothing warped and slithered like serpents over his body, brief flashes of exposed skin showing glowing blue lines before clothing morphed into star-splattered robes, one more fitting of a monk or a druid, the transformation starting but halting, incomplete.]
They would be so brilliant - so wonderful to behold.
[The beast continues on, as if the brief hitch in it's thoughts didn't occur]
[The Beast falls silent, his hands steeple together, bluish motes of light wreathing his head, curling back into the shape of branch-like antlers, but never fully forming, due to the absence of the Authority.
A small flicker of relief shines in the hollow of his torso - that Moriarty resisted the siren call of unity and the desire to rain their brand of affection upon the children called humans.]
Even if We may perish one day, I have to extend my hands to them, Even if the children will turn on us - we cannot help but want to teach them everything.
[The placid serenity shifts, the smile widening unnaturally so, yet the voice remains still]
Once we give them that final gift of ours - then I am happy to perish at their hands, content in knowing that they are safe.
[His volume raises a little, but he's careful not to raise it too much - no use in alarming everyone and finding out he's been talking to the Beast the entire time.
(Though it would be a fitting end, wouldn't it? All the lies and secrets laid bare, a spotlight shining down on the darkness he's hidden for so long.)]
You've never been the teacher of the two of us, Holmes. And even I can see that this will only destroy humanity, rather than protect it.
Is it force when they want deep down in their very soul?
[The Beast seems for the moment genuinely confused]
You are the part of us that want to teach, why are you denying that?
[S̥̱̣͕̯̱̩̆̓͛͂͡͝t̒̔ͣ͆͏̟̹̻̩̤̺͓̱o͕̤̯͚̰̟̭̐̾ͣͥ̔̕pͪ̄̇͒̉̈́̃ͨ҉̧̣̠̪ͅ ̢̞̜̤̫̹͇̘̈ͨ͗͑̀t̲̖̬̬͉ͤ͆͆͗́̇̆̌̂͘͞ḧ̴̡̼̬̰̰͚̝̠̩ͬ̐͊ͩ͑iͤ́̇̋͏҉̪͔̞̰̯̗͚̜s̡͉͉ͮͦ ͣ͂͂͌ͮ̍ͪ҉̭͍́m̷͎̖ͫ̅̎̑ͮͩ̀a̡̟͉̩̣ͫͨ̄̂̃͑ͭ̐d̢͇͍̞͚̲̼̘̑̑ͮ̌̃͒͐̚͜n̶̖̹̼̘̬ͬ̌͗͑̊̑̓̍̚͢e̶͕̹̥̲̣̥ͤͭ̈ͤͯ̈͐͑̕ͅs̶̗͔͔̹̗͙̝̎̏̐͂̌s̸̪̬ͬ͗̓̀̆... it wasn't said audibly, or even thought - but a pained cry within the body of the Infant Beast]
It will... save them. It will give them everything they wish for, and then she can come - put her hands round our necks, to take our lives so nothing will endanger them ever again.
[Ultimately, they were the self-sacrificing kind. Most of the Beasts harbored hatred towards humanity, hatred that had been twisted from their love - though there were exceptions.
Beast III-R had not hated humanity, but only wanted them to love her.
Beast IV had not hated humanity, but given his sentience to bring back Mash.
And Beast VII was one of those - a Beast that bore no Hatred, only love towards Humanity, seeking to destroy what made them human out of that deep, abiding love.
It was that love that made him set everything in motion, to give Humanity a choice when they would not offer one.
Moriarty angrily shakes his head at the Beast's words, huffing.]
Just because they wish it doesn't mean it's the correct path! And think - would she ever truly do that?! Our Master, who's so kind she even extended a hand towards a man trying to end a singularity?!
You may say Humanity will be protected, and safe - but they will no longer be human, Beast! And it is the love that I bear for them that made me set everything up as it has been, no matter what I had to do to accomplish it, or how many humans had to die due to my actions!
[He sits up, the symbol of the Authority blazing now, his own eyes seeming to glow red while the light hits his face.]
I am James Moriarty, the holder of the Authority of the Beast of the End! And as long as I am myself, I will stand against you, Sherlock Holmes, no matter what! I will never come along with you willingly!!
[The wide smile vanishes at the proclamation - again that expressionless serenity appears.
Then it distorts, twisting - a different kind of smile appearing - one of relief - satisfied by the answer Moriarty gave to them.
And for the second it was there, it was gone, as the beast's eyes stared at the carrier coolly, the whites of his eyes turning that same intense blue glow that was spreading across his body and attempting to form horns]
Your love has become distorted, this is the result of our splitting I see.
[Then his eyes closed, growing as still as a tree, the blue glow seeping through his eyelids, obscuring the green they're surrounding]
[He sees that look, as short as it is - Holmes is still in there, despite the beast's twisting. Another side effect of their separation, perhaps?
He nods, shortly.]
Indeed. Though to me, it is not my love that is distorted - it is your purpose. If that is due to our splitting, then it it was the best thing we did in our lives.
[He winces, again - the burning is beginning to overwhelm him, his hand going back to clutch at where the Authority burns.]
...And I assume you will continue to devour what you can?

It's enough to jerk Moriarty out of the pull, out of the allure of what they are.
He blinks, the light coming back into his eyes, that blue becoming bright again as he looks...surprised.]

Beyond the inevitable future, he can still fight.
He will never allow himself to be on Holmes' side, if only for the last moments he exists as James Moriarty-!]
That's enough.
[His voice is cold, cutting through the fond haze of his own thoughts.]
Humanity will never become that, and we both understand this. Have you forgotten?
We, The Beast, will ultimately be defeated by humanity. If you insist on doing this, then there will be no other outcome.
